Online Counselling (UK & Worldwide)

Online Counselling for Multicultural Adults, Third Culture Kids, Expats, Repats and all who are feeling in-between.

Online counselling offers a flexible and supportive way to access therapy from wherever you are. If you are navigating life between cultures, feeling pulled between different versions of yourself, or carrying emotional weight that is hard to name, online therapy can give you space to slow down, make sense of what is going on, and feel more anchored in yourself. Sessions typically take place on Zoom and last 60 minutes.

Whether you are based in the UK or living overseas, our work can hold the full context of your life, including family dynamics, cultural influences, identity, belonging, and all the emotions you’re trying to hold.

This is a space where your story and lived experience are never too much, too complicated, or too small.

Why online
therapy works for cross-cultural lives

Online counselling can fit around your life. It offers privacy, comfort, and consistency without the need to travel. Many people find it easier to open up from a space that feels familiar, and focused but informal environment. Online sessions can make it simpler to keep therapy going through busy seasons, travel, or life transitions.

For multicultural and cross-cultural adults, online counselling can also remove the practical barrier of trying to find a therapist who truly gets the layers. The culture you grew up in, the country you live in now, the role you carry, and the ways you learnt to cope. When those layers are understood, therapy often feels more connected and attuned.

A note from me

When I had counselling myself, it supported me in important ways, and I also noticed something was missing. Online counselling wasn’t the norm at the time. Although my counsellor helped me greatly, I didn’t always feel truly understood, especially around my in-betweenness, my family and cultural background, and the inner tension between my Eastern and Western worlds.

My hope is that you feel there is room for all that shapes you to be seen, understood, and supported.

FAQ's

Yes. I work as an online counsellor with clients in the UK and worldwide. There are some exceptions (for example, the US and Canada) due to licensing requirements. If you’re living overseas, we can usually find a time that works across time zones. Please get in touch to check availability.

Online counselling sessions are £65 per session and last 60 minutes.

Our first session is an initial consultation where we’ll talk through what’s been going on for you, a little about your history and background, and what you’re hoping for from counselling. We’ll also begin to explore how we might work together.

I’ll ask a few questions to guide us, but it generally feels more conversational than form-filling. As we talk, we’ll begin to notice what’s been weighing you down and what may need deeper exploration.

That’s a common worry. Many people are surprised by how connected online counselling can feel. Our sessions can be both relaxed and focused, and it’s absolutely possible to build a strong therapeutic relationship online. If you’d like, a free 20-minute intro call can help you get a feel for how working together on Zoom might be.

We can go at a pace that feels manageable, and it’s completely okay to arrive feeling unsure. Some clients prefer to start with cameras on and ease into the space. Others find it helps to soften the pressure by adjusting how they sit, looking slightly away from the screen, or having a pet or something comforting to hold during the session.

You’re welcome to turn off your camera at any point. My camera will always be on, and you can turn yours back on whenever you feel ready.

If there’s a technical issue, we can troubleshoot briefly. If it can’t be resolved within 5 minutes, I can video call you on WhatsApp, or we can switch to an audio-only call if that works better.

Online sessions are designed to be flexible, and we can adapt as needed on the day.
